Lucille is an Internal Medicine Specialist and Clinical Director of Medicine at Northland District Health Board. She has over 30 years’ experience in medical practise in New Zealand. Her particular interests are wellbeing for workers in all industries, especially the health sector, and reducing inequities in health outcomes for the people of Te Tai Tokerau. She enjoys ocean swimming – all year round!!

Amarlee graduated from Northland Polytechnic, Whangarei in 1989 and left NZ shortly after to work in Australia and the UK before moving to Canada to marry her husband Mike and to raise their 2 children. She started working as an Occupational Health Nurse in Canada in 1997 and worked in a variety of Occupational Health Settings, including automotive manufacturing, a crown corporation and the insurance industry.
Amarlee joined StaffCare in November 2014 as our Senior Nurse Manager. She is passionate about health promotion-particularly smoking cessation and improving the health of Maori in Northland. Amarlee has a wealth of expertise in all aspects of Occupational Health and systems and as such ends up juggling so many tasks at once it is lucky there is 30+ hours in a day! In her spare time she is learning Te Reo and Te Ao Māori.
NZIM Diploma in Management (NZIMDipMgt)
Since joining the StaffCare team in February 2012, Lynelle has acquired a vast knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety, she has gained her NZIM Diploma in Management and has established great working relationships with our clients.
As our Office & Administration Manager, Lynelle is responsible for over-seeing all administration functions, she co-ordinates the daily running of our admin and nursing team and if you have ever wondered who the whiz is behind your vibrant company reports, that’s her. She also provides Occupational Health and Safety services to our clients such has drug and alcohol screening and injury rehabilitation / management.
Lynelle has an approachable, bubbly personality and is willing to help new and existing clients whether it’s in person or over the phone.
Occupational Health Nurse
RGON, BHlthSc (Nursing)
David trained at Tauranga Hospital in 1975. He started his post-graduate work at the Auckland Hospital Head Injury Unit and then at Dargaville Hospital. David later spent most of his working life in South Australia at Port Augusta Hospital working in casualty, Royal Flying Doctor Service, Prison Medical Services and as a casual in Occupational Health. David upgraded his nursing training to a Bachelor of Health Science(Nursing) and a Graduate Diploma in Health Counselling during his time in Australia. His working life started in Australia as a curious visitor to the local hospital where he was offered immediate employment. In 2013, David returned to NZ with the intention of winding down his busy life, but luckily for StaffCare David brought his wealth of experience and was able to fit right in to occupational health. He mostly works onsite for one of our customers.
David enjoys fishing (Kontiki), has a keen interest in aviation (first learnt to fly at the Tauranga aeroclub), travelling (Australia, Asia, South Pacific and USA), photography and gardening.
Occupational Health Nurse (Mid-North)
NZ registered General and Obstetric Nurse, Cert in RN competence (Level 7), and a PG Diploma in Health Sciences
Darryl graduated in 1981 at Wairau Hospital Blenheim. She then travelled overseas and worked in the United Kingdom before returning to New Zealand to do Hospice, then Burns and Plastics nursing. She married and had two children. Moving to the north, Darryl worked in administration then as a Practice Nurse for 10 years. Wanting a change, she joined StaffCare in 2015.
Darryl is committed to the client’s wellness which involves health promotion, disease and injury prevention, and health promotion. When not working, Darryl enjoys hiking, swimming, aqua aerobics, gardening, and volunteering.
Occupational Health Nurse
Nikki graduated from Northland Polytechnic in 1992 and started working at the Whangarei Base Hospital in the Children’s ward then moving into Short Stay Surgical.
While her first two children were small she worked at the Polytechnic as a tutorial assistant in the Nursing Department for a short time and then in the after hours clinic at Primecare Medical Centre. When the twins (youngest two children) came along she moved on to become a Hospice Nurse at North Haven Hospice.
Nikki joined StaffCare in 2008 as an occupational health nurse and she enjoys the variety her position provides. She is passionate about health promotion and her client’s well-being!
Outside of work Nikki enjoys spending time with her lovely husband and 4 children and extended family, going to the beach, walking, baking, decorating and catching up with special friends.
NZQA Drug Testing Certificate, Current Nursing Student
Ella graduated from Whangarei Girl’s High School in 2015, then begun her travels around New Zealand. In winter 2016, Ella travelled each coast of our beautiful country for 3 months. When she returned she began working as a youth disability worker, caring for her cousin with PKS (Pallister – Killian Syndrome). A rare condition affecting only 3 people in NZ, her cousin, being the first. Early 2017 Ella took the opportunity to work at StaffCare as the office administration assistant. She has enjoyed expanding her knowledge about Occupational Health and loves how the job allows her to meet all kinds of people. In a short period of time she has acquired a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the end to end processes involved in Occupational Health. Ella is now in her second year of nursing studies at Northtec.
You will find our Niuean princess at the front desk here at Staffcare. Kelena graduated Whangarei Girls’ High in 2018. Her passion for Volleyball has taken her around the globe to many different countries and islands. Her Volleyball career kicked off in Summer 2015 when she represented New Zealand in Beach Volleyball and travelled to Vanuatu to bring home a silver medal. Although Indoor Volleyball is her preference now as she travelled to Vietnam in July last year to compete in the Junior Womens’ Indoor Volleyball Asian Championships. Early 2019 she took the opportunity to become Office Administrator at Staffcare to work alongside Ella & Lynelle at Staffcare. Kelena now spends her time with family, friends or training as she decides what the future holds for her. Inherently sensible, Kelena brings a pragmatic approach to the often impossible task of coordinating staff, bookings, patients, and the never ending task of following up on administrative loose ends. She’s real good at tidying up after slightly messy nurses!
Alison has joined our team recently. After graduating from Whangarei Base Hospital in 1981 she went District Nursing until she started a family. As her family grew she returned to work in the Residential Care setting , followed by the last 16 years as a Practice Nurse here in town. She has been an enthusiastic promoter of preventative healthcare and encouraging health lifestyles within our community. Alison brings a pragmatic and sincere approach in her work – and advice is always topped up with a good dose of relevant humour!

Rina has always worked with people in the community and her aim is to make an impact in people’s lives. Her knowledge and experience has helped in challenging situations as helps achieve positive outcomes for patients and associates. Rina has been nursing for the last 17 years and has worked in a variety of clinical settings. The skills she has developed over the years enhances her capacity to be insightful, compassionate and persevere calmly – especially when faced with difficulties.

Bernard grew up in the far north and Whangarei but left to go to university and to pursue his career. Bernard has worked in a number of industries and large corporates in NZ and around the world. He likes systems and processes (he’s an accountant) and admittedly doesn’t try and get too involved in the day to day functioning of the practice other than ensuring the tools and systems are there to support clinical staff, our customers, and the performance of our services. He’s also OK at hanging pictures.
